Kookmin University (President Chung Seung Ryeol) and the Korea MICE Association (President Shin Hyun Dae) signed an industry-academic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Tuesday, August 12, at the Kookmin University Main Administration Building. The agreement aims to foster global talent by linking the sports and MICE industries.

Under this agreement, the two institutions plan to strengthen cooperation in multiple areas, including: ▲ Operating industry-academia linkage programs for outstanding sports MICE talent and experienced practitioners ▲ Collaborating on recruitment promotion for OCA-linked degree and non-degree programs ▲ Enhancing sports MICE activity and recognition through joint briefings and meetings ▲ Providing consultation and feedback to improve industry-focused curricula

Kim Byung Joon, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Asian Olympic Graduate School at Kookmin University (Director of the Global Business Division), stated, “Sports and the MICE industry are core sectors of the global economy and cultural exchange. This collaboration will create significant synergy for the Asian Olympic Graduate School's goal of cultivating talent based on an international network.” He added, “We will nurture practical global leaders through education programs linked to the industrial field.”

Shin Hyun Dae, Chairman of the Korea MICE Association, also expressed his expectations, saying, “The cooperation with Kookmin University will contribute to strengthening the expertise of the MICE industry and securing its international competitiveness.”

Meanwhile, the Asian Olympic Graduate School is scheduled to hold its official opening ceremony on Saturday, September 6th, at the Kookmin University Academic Conference Hall.
