Kookmin's Law Departments began offering their curriculum in 1949, when the main university campus first opened its doors. The College confers the degrees of Bachelor of Law, Master of Law, and Doctor of Law to those who have completed the degree requirements successfully. The College of Law has gained a national reputation for its professional legal training and major legal research. It features a Law Library, a Legal Research Center, and a Legal Aid Counseling Center to support the faculty and students in their intensive studies and legal practices.

    The purpose of the Department of Public Law is to train students to become lawyers and experts capable of managing public affairs in different fields. The department offers a wide range of courses such as Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Taxation and Criminal Law.

  • Private Law

    The purpose of the Department of Private law is to train students to become lawyers and experts in the private sector. The department offers a wide range of courses. These include Contract Law between individuals, in business transactions, and in international trade.

Department of Business Law

The purpose of the Department of Legal Affairs is to train students to become lawyers and experts in the business sector. The department offers a wide range of courses. These include Contract Law between individuals, Administrative Law, Taxation and Criminal Law.
