Kookmin University (President JEONG, SEUNG RYUL) LINC3.0 Project announced on Tuesday (Oct. 10) that it successfully held the '2024 Problem Solving Program Idea Contest for Community Growth' award ceremony.

The '2024 Problem Solving Program Idea Contest for Community Growth' is an idea contest for universities and university members to plan programs necessary for community growth, and was hosted by the LINC3.0 Project of Kookmin University.

At the award ceremony, the grand prize went to Won Chi-hyun (Department of Public Administration, College of Social Sciences) for her proposal, 'Community Asset Formation Program Using Local Resources in Jeongneung 3-dong'. The idea was well-received by the judges as an idea that promotes sustainable growth of the community by strengthening local financial independence through the discovery of local resources and the formation of local community assets.

In addition, the grand prize was awarded to Shim Hyun (majoring in Sports and Natural Sciences, College of General Studies) for his proposal for 'Visit+Rehab', a customized health rehabilitation service for the sports welfare of local seniors that measures and evaluates the health and physical fitness of local seniors and provides customized rehabilitation services for seniors based on the evaluation results, and Lee Jae-joon (majoring in Electronics and Chemical Materials, College of Creative Engineering) for his proposal for 'Seongbuk Small Business Supporters Using AI Solutions', which revitalizes the local commercial district by strengthening the digital marketing capabilities of small businesses in Seongbuk-gu.

“It was a program that allowed us to see the various roles of universities for regional growth through the eyes of students,” said Lee, Inhyung, head of the LINC3.0 project at Kookmin University. ”We will continue to run various programs like this for the mutual growth of universities and regions.”
