Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) will hold a training on 『Real Estate Contracts to Avoid Rental Scams』 for university students, first-generation workers, and single-person households, at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, in Room B101 of Kookmin University's General Welfare Center.

The training is part of the Seoul Land Management Division's plan to provide customized real estate education for college students and young professionals who lack experience in real estate contracts. The lecture will cover basic knowledge such as key real estate terms, contract checks, and precautions when signing a contract, government support policies for youth housing, basic knowledge of surety insurance, and cases of subletting fraud, as well as introduce Seoul's real estate policies.

The lecture will be given by Ms. Hee-ae Son, who runs the YouTube channel 'Conceptual Hee-ae'. Ms. Sohn is known as an expert lecturer in the field of economics, having previously served as a content advisor for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, as well as lecturing at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seocho-gu Office, Guro-gu Office, and Goyang City Hall.

Meanwhile, Seoul is the first city in the country to offer a service that allows users to experience real estate contracts, especially for young people, in an expanded virtual world called “Metaverse Seoul,” where they can experience the process of signing a lease or renting a property step by step. From what to check when visiting a real estate agency to what to look for when touring a real estate property to how to fill out documents, the service allows users to experience the process.

“As there have been frequent cases of rental scams recently, we hope that college students and others interested in real estate contracts will participate in this training,” said an official.
