Kookmin University held a win-win academic research event to improve the lives of local residents.

Kookmin University announced on March 1 that the university's LINC 3.0 project group held the 4th Community Win-Win Forum at Kookmin University Headquarters on March 25.

The forum was held with the aim of developing community-related academics through the accumulation of basic knowledge and expertise. It is held monthly by inviting experts in various fields to make practical contributions to improving the quality of life of residents by strengthening and expanding local human networks and expanding welfare services.

At this event, Yoon Mo rin, an adjunct professor at Hanyang University's Graduate School of Public Policy, gave a lecture on the topic of 'Local Asset-Based Cooperative Cases'. The lecture introduced cases of local asset-based cooperatives that are successfully operating in local communities, and Q&A and discussion were held on the differences between 'general cooperatives' and 'social cooperatives'.

"Cooperatives are an alternative that has the potential to restore broken communities and improve the quality of life of residents," said Ha Hyun Sang, director of the Community Mutual Benefit Center. "Academic research should also be activated to create an ecosystem where cooperatives can be more active."

Meanwhile, this month's regular forum on community coexistence will feature lectures and discussions on various topics related to community and policy.
