Spring will arrive in 1 month. The weather is getting warmer but I feel a bit sad because of the yellow dust. However, there's no need to complain about the delay of spring because we can bring spring to you! You who cannot wait for spring, are you ready to enjoy the warmth? The Design Library inKookmin University's Student Union Center, Room 214 is a special library which was founded in Oct.2001 to contribute to the development of design through its systematic collection and offers a varietyof professional material. There are 251 periodicals of internal and external varieties such as design, art, architecture, pictures, etc., and 56,257 books related to design. The librarycontainsnumerous other design related items and shares information with other universitiesand companies through an online database.

So what's the connection between my spring fashion and the Design Library? Well, let's go now to the sensitivity playground to wake your senses up.

Part1-Become a fashion star "Only others can become fashion stars!" "I don't have a sense of fashion".That's not true. There are fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, etc. Women as well as men can study many different kinds of fashion magazines such as Vogue, Homme, Leon, Gap, etc. Let's develop our fashion sense though them with our free time. This spring, thesplendor of Kookmin University's fashion can come to you!

Part2- Become a professional photographer. An ordinary record, your picture can be art. These days, everyone can take pictures easily with a digital camera or a camera phone. However, you might think that taking a great picture is far from your ability. The more great pictures you see, the better your sense of quality photos will become. Tip- In the Design Library we can find a variety of pictures in periodicals such as a magnum, which we would normallyonly see in a gallery.

Part3-Our story GuJiYun(major in Clothing Design '07) I go to theDesign Library mainly to use design sites a lot of the time. Also, whenever I gota lot of stressfrom too much work, I would go there to read fashion magazines and get rid of my stress. Lee HyunJae(major in Architecture'07) The Design Library has a variety of the materials I need so I normally use it to do work or to look at examples of other work. Kim KyungMung(major in Business Administration) The Design Library is a nice and quiet place, so I go to there to study or read books during my breaks.

Picture 2 - The Design Library helps you develop your artistic senses. We can seelots of art work that we aren't familiar with, like art representing western history and art with designs or pictures in the Design Library. Tip- If you drop by the design library to look up informationona professional photographer or famous painter like Picasso orDelpirebefore you go to an exhibit,you would have a much better time.

The sensitivity playground presents a sweet spring to you. Even ifyou are not from Kookmin Universityyou can still use the resources and informationas long as you fill outan application form.
