Nature is like the Generous Tree. However, trees are part of our nature. Natural dyes are one more present nature gave for us. Natural dyes come from nature. They are literally a way to dye clothes using natural dyes instead of chemical one.

Natural dye is not common yet for people so it’s not that easy to remind us of dye artworks. For those who are familiar with chemical dyes, it’s hard to image how difficult it is. Creating color is very difficult even for natural dye experts. However, it’s so attractive as there are various ways to express emotions of all peoples and creations such as delight, anger, love and happiness which can’t be done with chemicals. This green design majors exhibition from design graduate school was projected to celebrate 10th anniversary of creating natural dye class and collected many types of artworks made for a long time.

Patience and endurance are required in natural dyes. There is a famous saying, ‘Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.’ Do you think that saying could be used in natural dye field? How can we express delightful feeling when we get beautiful color after long waiting? That awesome color would look more beautiful with natural sunshine light. There are many artworks related in wedding at this exhibit.

As soon as we enter the room, eco friendly wedding dress made by natural dyes greets us

Dress is only once like wedding is once in a life. It’s not too much to say that dress is a leader of disposability. Why don’t you make meaningful decision for environment by choosing eco friendly wedding dress for your only wedding? I think that could be worth help environment with eco- friendly dress in day, promised with your partner for life.

We get many wedding invitations in our life. Also, we can be the person who makes the invitations. That is one of the facts wasting papers, means harmful. Even it’s not possible to make them all hand made, but it would make our wedding more meaningful when we make ours by thinking memories with people we give invitations.Also, it would be great to imagine guests face and reactions after they get our eco-friendly invitations.

Green virus spread even in the natural dye field. There is nothing that can be dumped in the green design. Everything can be artwork. Even tiny remnants of cloth can be changed as artwork. That’s the piece named ‘hackmang’ which raises the question about the nuclear is the best.

The piece, named cloth book for kids, shows that there are no better books for kids. Kids must imagine how great it is to make a kid’s book by doing dye with their hands and sewing. It would helpful for a kid’s brain development if they touch and feel piece of cloth instead of normal paper book. It could be more valuable than any other normal paper books.

This multi purpose wall hanging covered with lotus, penguins, crane, whale, dolphin and polar bear is so cute and adorable that I’d love to hang it in my living room. Isn’t it possible that natural dye could throw little life line to these endangered animals?

Have you ever sit on the tree? In the book named the giving tree, the tree sacrifices itself to the end then gives chair to people. It would be disappointed if green designed seating cushion looked like normal ones. This one which claims to cushione people’s body and heart, not only natural dye but also copying real tree’s ring, made me feel like I was sitting on the tree.

Actually, the artwork, I was interested in, was natural dyed chart screen. Since abnormal climate, hot weather came earlier these days. People are exhausted of weather, use air conditional more than windows. However, if we have window screen made natural dyed cloth, would we reach our hand toward window instead of air-condition? It would be nice to read a book with natural light through that window screen.

The natural-dyed T-shirts decorating one side at the gallery shows off it’s beautiful body. It’s more unique with color made by only natural dye.

In addition, there are many types of artwork natural dye skill can show. It was worth and made us imagine natural dye’s future far.
