Students majoring in Cultural Arts Administration and Art Museum and Museum Studies at Kookmin University’s Graduate School of Public Administration won awards one after another at the Korean Policy Association Poster Competition, held as part of the “20th International Conference on Korean Museums 2026.”
 
At this competition, student Yoo Na-hyun (Art Museum and Museum Studies) won the Grand Prize, and student Kim Eun-ji (Cultural Arts Administration) won the Best Award. Kim Jin-ah (Museum and Art Gallery Studies) received the Excellence Award, and Yoo Han-sik (Cultural Arts Administration) received the Encouragement Award.
 
The Korea International Museum Conference serves as a forum for academic exchange, discussing key issues such as future policy directions in the museum and art gallery sectors, cultural governance, and digital transformation. Organized to identify policy ideas through collaboration among industry, academia, and government, this poster competition drew researchers and students from universities and graduate schools nationwide, who presented a variety of research findings and policy proposals.
 
Kookmin University students received high praise for their multifaceted analysis of the intersection between cultural arts administration and the museum sector, as well as for proposing policy models and implementation plans applicable to real-world settings. In particular, they were highly commended for proposing concrete implementation strategies from the perspective of sustainable cultural policy, going beyond mere academic discussion.
 
Yoo Na-hyun, who won the Grand Prize, shared her thoughts, saying, “It is meaningful that our efforts to develop effective policies by integrating cultural arts administration with art museum and museum studies have led to such positive results,” and added, “I will continue to pursue professional research and practical activities that bridge the gap between the field and policy.”
 
Meanwhile, the Department of Cultural Arts Administration and the Department of Museum and Art Gallery Studies at Kookmin University’s Graduate School of Public Administration continue to conduct education and research with the goal of cultivating interdisciplinary professionals capable of handling cultural arts planning, policy formulation, institutional management, and practical operations at museums and art galleries.
