Cho Sung Min, an alumnus of our university's Department of Fashion Design, has won the prestigious 21st Samsung Fashion & Design Fund (SFDF). This achievement holds even greater significance as it marks the first time a graduate of Kookmin University's Department of Fashion Design has won this award, which is Korea's leading fashion designer cultivation program with a history and authority spanning approximately 20 years.

After graduating from Kookmin University's Fashion Design Department, Designer Cho Sung Min completed a Master's in Women's Wear at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in the UK. In 2021, he established his eponymous brand, JADEN CHO, and currently serves as Creative Director for UMBER POSTPAST. Based on his unique aesthetics and philosophy, he is expanding the boundaries of his brand beyond fashion into diverse fields such as space, cosmetics, and art.

Designer Cho Sung Min's latest achievement goes beyond his individual creativity and capabilities, serving as another opportunity to demonstrate the educational competitiveness of Kookmin University's Department of Fashion Design and its potential within the global fashion industry. Furthermore, as his potential as a next-generation designer has been officially recognized, he is expected to receive even more attention in his future domestic and international activities.
