Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Delta Electronics, Inc., a global power and electronics company, on Wednesday, July 8, to promote research collaboration and exchange in the field of cybersecurity. This agreement was established to designate cybersecurity as a mutual area of interest for both institutions and to build a foundation for practical cooperation through research and technological exchange.

Under the agreement, the two institutions will pursue ▲ joint research in cybersecurity ▲ exchanges of researchers and technical experts ▲ and the exchange of scientific and technical information. In particular, they plan to develop concrete plans for joint research and technical cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, centered around Kookmin University’s Global Research Center for ICT Convergence Security.

The signing ceremony was attended by President Jeong Seung Ryul, Professor You Ilsun(Director of the Global Research Center for ICT Convergence Security) from the Department of Information Security and Cryptography, and Professor Lee Ok-yeon. Tei-Wei Kuo, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Delta Electronics, also attended to discuss future directions for cooperation.

Kookmin University intends to use this agreement as an opportunity to strengthen its industry-academia cooperation framework with global companies and enhance its research capabilities and technological competitiveness in the field of cybersecurity. Both institutions plan to continue expanding joint research and personnel exchanges while maintaining their collaboration to drive innovation in ICT convergence security technology.
