The Graduate School of Business at Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) will host the “3rd Leadership & Coaching Conference 2026” on Friday, June 19, 2026, in the Academic Conference Hall (Room 101, Main Administration Building).

Marking its third year, the theme of this year’s conference is “Human-AI Co-Evolution.” Organized to explore in depth how humans and AI can coexist and evolve—as well as the roles of leadership and coaching required in this process—the event comes at a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming industries, organizations, and the way we work.

The conference is aimed at a diverse audience interested in leadership and coaching, including corporate leaders, executives and team leaders, HR and leadership development professionals, external professional coaches, professors, and education professionals. The event will run from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM and will consist of registration and an opening ceremony, followed by a keynote speech, specialized sessions in the Leadership and Coaching tracks, wrap-up sessions for each track, and a closing ceremony.

The keynote address will be delivered by author Lee Byung-nam, author of *Management Is About People*. Lee will explore the question of why we must refocus on “people” now, in an era of increasingly sophisticated AI tools. He will emphasize the restoration of humanity’s ontological superiority and the enduring value of “human-centered management,” while highlighting the fundamental forces that enable the coexistence of AI and humans.

The subsequent specialized sessions will be divided into a Leadership Track and a Coaching Track. The Leadership Track will address the criteria for judgment, execution capabilities, and the direction of organizational development required of leaders in the AI era through sessions titled “Resetting Leadership in the AI Era: Standards for Decision-Making and Execution That Drive High Performance” and “The Practice of Ambidextrous Organizational Development Based on Purpose: Organizational Excellence and Employee Growth.” The Coaching Track will focus on the role of coaching in driving individual and organizational change, with sessions titled “Leaders’ Coaching for Deep Change: Principles of Deep Change from the Perspective of Coaching Psychology” and “Coaching for Performance in the AI Era: The Practice of Performance Coaching.”

Through this conference, the Graduate School of Business at Kookmin University aims to present the practical value of human-centered leadership and coaching amidst the current discourse on technology-driven change. In particular, rather than treating leadership and coaching as separate domains, the event is expected to serve as a platform for exploring the new roles that leaders and coaches must assume in the AI era by viewing them from an integrated perspective that drives both organizational performance and personal growth.

Meanwhile, the Leadership and Coaching Department at Kookmin University’s Graduate School of Business, which is hosting this event, offers a specialized MBA program for HR, leadership, and coaching professionals. It is the first curriculum in Korea to receive ICF Level 2 certification. Designed to allow students to fulfill the educational requirements for obtaining both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and domestic and international coaching certifications, the program offers a field-oriented curriculum covering leadership theory, coaching practice, organizational development, and group coaching. Applications for the fall 2026 semester (the 30th cohort) will be accepted from Friday, May 22, to Friday, June 12.
