Kookmin University's RISE Project Team (RISE Project Team Leader Sohn Jin Sik) and Kumoh National Institute of Technology's RISE Project Team (RISE Project Team Leader Kwon Oh Hyeung) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a super-regional cooperation system aligned with the Regional Innovation Support System (RISE) initiative. This agreement aims to share and disseminate the outstanding achievements of both universities.

This agreement aims to mutually exchange the RISE implementation frameworks and performance models of both universities and progressively expand the cooperative foundation for leading regional innovation.

The two institutions will pursue cooperation centered on: ▲ Linking with industrial sites and enabling demonstration/diffusion ▲ Strengthening AI/Digital Transformation (AX/DX) capabilities ▲ Exchanging innovation models and governance focused on solving regional problems. They will particularly focus on identifying industry-demand-based collaborative projects and strengthening corporate/institutional network linkages. They also plan to jointly develop educational programs and content, and conduct outcome-sharing activities such as forums and seminars.

Furthermore, they plan to share examples of collaborative structures involving universities, local governments, businesses, and regional institutions, and contribute to tangible regional innovation outcomes by expanding programs like Living Labs that address local challenges.

Kookmin University's RISE Project Team stated, “This agreement will serve as an opportunity to expand the ultra-wide-area RISE model, connecting regions and industries beyond university collaboration,” adding, “We will generate tangible results through AI/digital transformation and industry-linked education.”
