Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) held the 'KMU Healing Concert' on Wednesday, June 5, at the first floor lobby of Sungok Library in Kookmin University. 

The concert was organized to deliver a message of healing and support through music to students who were exhausted during the final exams, and to expand exchanges with prestigious universities abroad, which KU has been focusing on in recent years.

Kookmin University has recently been conducting various cultural exchanges with its strengths in music and art. As part of this initiative, Kookmin University invited 'The Jabberwocks', an a cappella club from Brown University in the United States, to add meaning to the event. 

Founded in 1764, Brown University is the seventh oldest institution of higher learning in the United States and has a long tradition and reputation. The Jabberwocks, founded in 1949, is a venerable club that annually wins the Collegiate A Cappella Competition, and their performance of "Me and the Wocks," "Erase Me," "All I Ask," and many other songs was well-received.

Students and staff who attended the concert commented, "We don't usually get the chance to see a cappella performances, so it was refreshing and meaningful to see students from overseas universities perform." In addition, eco-friendly eco-bags were distributed as souvenirs to all campus members who attended the concert in honor of Environment Day to remind them of the importance of protecting the environment.

An official from Kookmin University said, "We hoped that the a cappella performance during the lunch break would help campus members forget their stress and heal for a while," adding, "We will continue to plan programs that can provide various cultural experiences to promote emotional stability and expand international exchanges."

Meanwhile, the 'KMU Healing Concert' is a promotional event organized by Kookmin University as part of its efforts to revitalize internal communication, focusing on strengthening solidarity among universities and providing students with diverse cultural experiences.
