[Korea University News Service Reporter Jung Soo-jeong] Kookmin University's (president Jeong Seung Ryul) Career Development Support Group held a 'Visiting National Employment Support System Consultation' event at the University Job Plus Center on campus on the 9th.

The event was organized to inform students who are about to graduate about the National Employment Support System and expand participation opportunities.

The event was held at the University Job Plus Center, located on the basement floor of Kookmin University Welfare Center, with the cooperation of the National Employment Team of the Seoul Northern Employment + Center of the Seoul Northern Regional Office of the Korea Employment Guidance Service. Six 1:1 counseling booths were prepared to promote and counsel the National Employment Support System, and about 100 graduating students and alumni visited and received counseling.

The National Employment Support System is a system that allows young adults who are about to enter the workforce to receive one-on-one employment support consulting and receive a job search promotion allowance for job hunting. In particular, young adults who are new to job hunting can improve their job skills through the system through counseling on career fields and work experience programs.

Kookmin University students who participated in the event received a check on their current job readiness status and received explanations on how to prepare for employment using the National Employment Support System. Afterward, students who were interested in participating received guidance on the schedule, including related documents.

“We will continue to plan programs and events so that job-seeking youth, including students at Kookmin University, can understand and participate in various youth employment policy services of the Ministry of Employment and Labor,” said In Young Sil, head of the Career Development Support Group.
