Hello again to our all readers! What is happening around you these days? You might be busy doing many assignments and preparing for the upcoming examinations at the very middle of this fall semester. If you have been kept running ahead until now, please take a break and look around while reading this article.
Have you ever seen this character on our school campus? I guess you might have seen or passed by this cute character during your campus life this semester. However, it seems like many students do not exactly know who or what it is. Or for the most part, they don’t think it as a character related to our campus. The name of this new character is ‘Koomin’. So far, there is not much information on this character except its name. To deeply know about Koomin, the Kookmin Review had an interview with this new character on our campus. By watching and hearing what Koomin’s daily life is like, I guess many of us will feel empathize with it. Hope our subscribers enjoy and delve into Koomin through this interview. Please embrace our new character as one of KMU students from now on!

Q1. Do you have time to do a short interview with us?

Yes, I have time as the next class starts at 4P.M. So, I am free till that time. By the way, what are you going to ask me? Hmm…I am curious why the Kookmin Review is willing to do an interview with just an ordinary student like me. Maybe, are you going to ask me about my school life? If that is right, I feel a little shy to talk about myself.

Q2. Is your name related to our university’s name?
My name is KOOMIN and it seems like my name is closely related to the spelling of our school name. But I don’t know if it is true or not! My family gave me this name when I was born. I also share the same thoughts of similarity between our university’s name and my name.

Q3. Where can I find you on campus recently?
I am usually on the monitors of our school elevators, and you can almost always find me on the way to Sungkok Library. But you can also see me outside of campus. I have heard from my friend that they saw me on the movie screen of CGV theater and at Yeouido IFC mall. Go check it out and please say ‘hi’ when you see me.

Q4. Is there your favorite place/spot on our campus?
I easily get hungry, so I like Bugak Hall and Student Union where I can find and grab many foods. I also love the playfield on our campus. When the weather is sunny and nice, I usually take a seat on the stands there. It feels so warm and peaceful when I sit out in the sun.

Q5. What do you usually do in between classes?
Well…I just go to the place where no one can see me and take a nap.

Q6. When is the hardest time in your school life?
I think it is when I have a class right after eating lunch. I almost always struggle to keep my eyes and ears open at that time. I feel so tired and sleepy that I often doze off. I cannot even concentrate on the professor’s lecture. Also, when I have classes in the early morning, going up the steep hills on our campus in a hurry makes me exhausted even before I arrive at the lecture room.

Q7. When your class schedule is over, where do you usually go?
I always try to go to the library and study, but honestly, I just go home right away after the classes are all over in these days. I know I have to study since the mid-term is upcoming, but...when the classes are over I don’t have any energy to study more.

Q8. Are there any students in our school who you want to be a friend?
Definitely, yes! I always want to be a friend to every student on our campus. I want to learn from good students and hang out with cheerful friends. As I am shy and kind of introverted person, I have been thought of having extroverted friends who could lead me to easily start a conversation. Mostly, I want to have a friend whom I can rely on even without speaking anything. Until now, I think there are not so many KMU students who exactly know who I am. Though I am a little shy, I will gradually introduce myself to Kookminians and make my approach to everyone. Hope Kookminians are open-minded to me.
