April is here and that means the cherry blossom season is here too! The scent of spring is so extremely attractive that it is almost impossible to resist its allurement. Even though you may be busy, how about putting aside some of your work for awhile and go out? Give yourself time to relax and feel the spring season this year!

- Kookmin University
Why go far away when we can feel the spring season right here? Whenever you are stressed out from schoolwork, just go outside of your school building. Kookmin University is also a great place to enjoy cherry blossoms: In front of Bugak Hall, in front of the College of Economics & Business, behind the College of Law, and in front of Sungkok Library. Because Kookmin University is located next to Bukhan Mountain, everywhere you turn is a great view. In addition, Sungkok hill behind the fountain is a great place to relax. On the way to the top, the stairs are filled with cherry blossoms. Whenever you do not have time to go feel the spring season, Kookmin University is here for you!

- Jinhae Cherry Blossom Tunnel
Jinhae is the best place to enjoy spring flowers in South Korea. The whole city of Jinhae turns into a white city when its 220,000 cherry blossom trees bloom. Every corner of the city is a great place to take a picture. Walking along the road, you will feel as though you are walking inside a beautiful cherry blossom tunnel. Although it takes about 5 minutes from Jinhae’s Train Station to the Jinhae Gunhang Festival by taxi, going on foot is preferred. Smelling the sweet scent of Jinhae will be the greatest way to give yourself a rest.

- Hwagae Simni Cherry Blossom Walkway
Sometimes going a little farther away is good for you both physically and psychologically. The Hwagae Simni Cherry Blossom Walkway in Gyeongsang province is most recommended. This road is the 6 kilometer road from Hwagae Marketplace to Ssanggyesa Temple. Even though it can be a long way, you cannot get tired looking at the amazing view, listening to a river flow right next to the road, and breathing the fresh air that surrounds you. Just thinking about this place places your mind at peace!

- Ansan Jarak-gil
Unlike the city view in front of Seodaemun-Gu Office, behind the office there lies a most peaceful place. Coming out from Seoul Subway Line 3, Dongnimun Station and passing by Seodaemun Independence Park, there is a beautiful road called Ansan Jarak-gil. This road is a forest road with a gentle slope. Therefore, it is very easy to walk around and is a wonderful place to feel spring up close in the city. The road is especially more outstanding in April because the big cherry blossom trees make shade for people. The moment you enter Ansan Jarak-gil, you will be able to realize the meaning of spring.

- Yeouido
Yeouido is probably the most famous place for the cherry blossom festival in Seoul. It takes only 5 minutes on foot from Seoul Subway Line 9, National Assembly Station to the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival. During the festival you can watch some of the great performances while having lunch or a snack. Also, in Yunjung-no, close to Seoul Subway Line 5 Yeouinaru Station, people can enjoy cherry blossoms with the Han River right next to the road. The trees in Yunjung-no are 30 to 35 years old and about 1400 of them are planted alongside the road. Not only can you enjoy the cherry blossoms, but also you can see many other flowers along the way to the National Assembly Building.
