KMU students win the grand prize and runner-up prize for the 2012 MANDO Future Vehicle Idea Contest

The School of Automotive Engineering student, Choi Jung Ung won the grand prize and the School of Advanced Material Engineering student, Sung Dong Kyu won the runner-up prize for the 2012 MANDO Future Vehicle Idea Contest, targeting university students with the theme, Vehicles:Future, Safety, Convenience and Eco-Friendly.
The Future Vehicle Idea Contest of MANDOattracts participation from all sorts of students,not just specialized ones, by imagining how transportation these days, including automobiles, can be changed and what features can be shown from them, and through broad topics, and general and special parts presentations.
Based on creativity, practicality and concreteness, a dozen superior works were selected through a screening from special groups in the MANDO Company,and then this award winning work was finally selected through a final presentation,which gathered up opinions from executive members and outside specialists.
Student Choi Jung Ung’s work, selected the grand prize winner, showed creative ideas related with safety systems preventing accidents for vehicle users got the highest score, and student Sung Dong Kyu’s work, selected the runner-up prize, showed specific effort to solve current problems by considering vehicle users convenience.
