The Small and Medium Business Corporation select young CEOs/ MyoungOck Cho, Choon Ho Park

The Small and Medium Business Administration and Small and Medium Business Corporation are in the process of establishing "The Youth Entrepreneurs Training School" to foster the development of innovative young entrepreneurs. Graduate school studentsMyoungOck Cho (major in Mechanical Engineering) andChoon Ho Park (major in Medical Engineering) were selected as young CEOs. SMBA & SBC have announced that they will provide systematic and practical training programs to foster promising young CEOs and contribute to solving Korea's graying workforce problem.
Those under 39 who are preparing to start their own businesses or have set up a business within the last 3 years are eligible to apply. For the trainees, office space equipped with necessary facilities and one-on-one coaching from full-time professors are provided until they graduate from the school and start their own businesses, and up to 70% of the business costs incurred within the first year of business operation, including technology and prototype development as well as marketing, are subsidized.

These two students, who are from the Body Dynamic Lab,under the guidanceofEngineering College professor Joong Kyung Kim, were selected as finalists. The assignment 'Mobile SMART Scope' was to develop portablesmart phone equipment to meet the expected fast- growing demands in the global healthcare industry. Three hundred ninety-one people applied for the program and SBC selected 100 trainees out of these applicants.

SBC president Lee said 'the internal technology foundation has declined' so the program intends to help these students upgrade their skills and give them challenging motivation which can lead to their success. Head of the department of SBC Dong Min Yangsays:"We will support the trainees in many ways from financing to investment.
