On April 24, Jeong Ji Yoon of the Department of Food and Nutrition (24th semester, advisor Jang Yoon Ji ) won the best poster award at the 65th 2024 Korean Packaging Society National Conference and General Assembly held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Korea, under the theme of 'Convergence of human-centered packaging innovation and digital technology'.

This regular conference is the largest professional society in the field of packaging in Korea, where experts from domestic and foreign packaging technology companies and industry-academia-research institutes attend to promote academia through academic exchanges related to packaging, contribute to the development of pharmaceutical and other packaging industries, and the global environment. 

Kookmin University's Jeong Ji Yoon, who won the first prize in the poster contest, conducted a research on 'Controlled release of staphylococcal phage from pectin-poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) bilayer film in response to bacterial contamination', a pectin-based biodegradable packaging development and biodegradable plastic with adjustable release rate of SAC bacteriophage that can control Staphylococcus aureus.
