The promotional team at Kookmin University reforms and expands service & function of 3 services: Mobile, I-phone and Android web. After the first renewal on the 18th of April 2011, we conducted a survey through the school’s Twitter, analyzed the previous service’s statistics and benchmarked a trend.

The three important things of the upgrade are: First, we improved the function of about 15 menus which students often use through a statistical analysis from students and put these menus on the main screen to improve accessibility and convenience.  We especially used a function called (Set icon) so you can manage the screen easily for whatever you want.

Second, using AJAX technology, we turned the service which exchanges data previously using XML into a DB connection in order to reinforce the search function and improve the function that allows you to open additional contents easily without reloading the screen.

Third, you can search video contents through a smart phone by adding relative video services such as UCC World, a professor’s library, station ID & school introductive videos.  Also, we renewed all the contents.

We also composed a plan offering mobile services at the same time through several servers with improved speed and quality.

The mobile web service is on the increase since we opened on the 28th of July 2010. About 68 million people connected to it for 550 days to use over 325 million pages of information. If we include web users, we could be the main channel of the campus.

I-phone web and Android are each upgraded and set by the Apple Web Store and the Android Market.
