The city of Seoul gave the public notice of its bid for engineering work to begin an on-ramp from the entrance of Kookmin University in the Kangnam direction of the Naebu Expressway inner circulation road on the 18th of July.

This installation project for an on-ramp to handle the traffic in the Kangnam direction will finish design services by March of next year and be completed by the second half of 2013. The ramp’s width will be 5m, and its length will be 432m.

To improve the difficult traffic situation for a school that is not connected with the Seoul Subway, Sung Woo Lee, President of Kookmin University, assembled many people from the school to promote the idea in ways like holding a conference with the staff of the city of Seoul. As a result, in November 2007, an off-ramp to Kookmin University from Kangnam via the Sung San Bridge was completed.  The new project will now install an on-ramp in the opposite direction back in the direction toward Kangnam.

This all has been a successful effort for our school.
