Accessory artist, HeeJu Kim (major in Metalwork &Jewelry '03) won the grand prize in "PreziosaYoung 2011" which is the international accessory competition from Le ArtiOrafe. This is the first time that a Korean was awarded in the competition.

The competition startedin 2005, and is the best in the world forfinding young accessory artists. Thejury consisted of presidents of various galleries and museumsthroughout Europe. They choose 8 prizewinnerswho will get a special chance to exhibit in a gallery or museum in parts of Europe such as Italy, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Portugal. HeeJu Kim who won the grand prize gets a special chance to give a private exhibition at the world famousInhorgenta Accessory Fair held in Germany. This year, among the 180artists whoapplied, 30 were chosen in the first competition, and from them the final 8artists were chosen.

Of the final 8 artists, 2 were from Korea. There are two students fromKookmin University:HeeJu Kim andSel Ki Kaen.
