Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung-ryul) has released a “Study with Me” video as a new attempt to encourage students' motivation to study during the final exam period. The video was produced to show professors studying intently, and students are paying attention to it on social media, expressing their feelings of “studying quietly together” as they concentrate on their studies in their own spaces.

The video features Professor Park So-hee from the Accounting Department of the Business Administration School at Kookmin University, who shows herself studying intensely in her research lab for an hour. This is being evaluated as a new attempt to expand the popular “Study with Me” format among the MZ generation to the professor-student relationship.

In addition to filming the “Study with Me” video, Professor Park also shared short tips on exam preparation and improving concentration through short-form videos.

In the video, Professor Park shared, “The intense study period during my university days was an essential phase for achieving future success.” She added, “Thanks to the video filming, I was able to tackle tasks I usually couldn’t, and I hope this becomes a valuable time for you all to focus as well,” offering a heartfelt message of encouragement.

Kookmin University plans to use this content to narrow the gap between professors and students, motivate students to study, and promote the university's warm educational culture. The university announced that it will continue the “Study with Me” series with professors from various departments.

This initiative is in line with Kookmin University's goal of establishing a “boundary-free educational ecosystem.” President Jeong Seung-ryul emphasized, “Nowadays, universities should allow students to choose their majors when they graduate, not when they enroll. True educational innovation means helping students design their own career paths by experiencing classes in various fields and creating their own majors that transcend departmental boundaries.”

Kookmin University is breaking down barriers between departments, expanding interdisciplinary admissions and interdisciplinary majors, and establishing the “Omega School” to create a flexible and autonomous major selection structure. It is also fostering a culture of horizontal communication between professors and students. The “Study with Me” content is an example of this educational philosophy being implemented in everyday life and is regarded as a small step toward Kookmin University's educational innovation.
