Thursday Special Lectures is a 2-hour long general education class every Thursday that began on September 1, 1994.  The speakers on the platform are celebrities from each area of society, and are invited based on student’s voting, after being asked honest questions on their life-story.

 Since Sep, 1994 through the spring semester of 2011, the 370 celebrities who have been on the platform of Thursday Special Lectures are engaged in various parts of society such as politics, economics, public life, arts, religion, history, science and culture.
There are various subjects on the Thursday Special Lectures: Of course the life-story of celebrities or talking about one’s field in relation to their work or a message for young college students who want to prepare better for their future.
When each Thursday Special Lectures ends, the context of the lectures is published every 2 years. The 10th edition of this book includes lectures of 38 celebrities who stood on the platform in 2009 and 2010. The sincere messages for young people and the secrets for success have been garnered by such lecturers as Jung Jae-Seung the professor of KAIST, Lee In-Won the chairman of Korean university newspaper, Nam Kyung-Joo the musical actor, Moon Hoon-Suk the chairman of the board of Universal Culture Foundation, Kim Byeol-A the novelist, Kim Sang-Hun the CEO of NHN, and Choo-Sang-Mi the actress.
