Kookmin University (President JEONG, SEUNG RYUL) was selected as an outstanding participating university in the 2024 ICT Credit-Linked Project Internship Project, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Information and Communication Planning and Evaluation Institute and the Korea Information Industry Association, and received a plaque of appreciation and presented its best practices at an award ceremony held on November 8th.

In order to successfully run the ICT credit-linked project internship, Kookmin University was recognized for contributing to the development of practice-oriented ICT talents by systematically managing the entire process of the internship, including pre-job training before the internship, work inspection and on-site company visits during the internship, job project mentoring, best practice presentation contest after the internship, and distribution of a post-training book.

In particular, Kookmin University was selected as an excellent participating university this year and produced excellent student cases, with a software undergraduate student from the College of Software Convergence receiving an excellence award in the second half of 2023 and a student from the Department of AI Big Data Convergence Management receiving an encouragement award after internship in the first half of 2024.

The ICT Credit-Linked Internship Project is a program in cooperation with Kookmin University and the Korea Information Industry Association, and a total of 72 students participated in it from 2019 to 2024, enabling students in ICT-related majors to gain practical experience in software development, hardware design and construction, and information and communication services by participating in ICT job projects proposed by domestic and foreign companies, and succeeding in finding employment based on their internships. In addition, the satisfaction of students who have completed the program has been highly evaluated, with a score of 4.46 out of 5 for the domestic course and 5 for the global course, so the interest and demand from students is expected to increase.
