The 16th Briquette Sharing Event, hosted by the Kookmin University (President Jung Seung-ryul) Living Cooperative, was held on Saturday, November 2, near Seongbuk First Church in Jeongneung-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.

The event was held in conjunction with the headquarters of the 'Warm Korean Peninsula Love Briquette Sharing Movement' and was attended by a total of 34 KU members and friends. The volunteers delivered a total of 2,200 briquettes, 200 each to 11 families.

Zhang Gulyu, an international student from China, said, “I'm happy to be able to do something so meaningful and enjoyable in Korea,” while Kim Dae-gyum, a staff member of the KU Student Union, who was in charge of the event, said, “It was great to share warmth with our neighbors again this year, and I'm grateful to everyone who participated.”

A representative from Kookmin University said, “The 16th Love Briquette Sharing Event was an opportunity to share warmth with local residents, and it was even more meaningful because this year may be the last year of briquette sharing due to the redevelopment of the Jeongneung area.”
