The entrance ceremony for the "Data Analysis Human Resources Development Course," jointly developed by Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) and the National Police Agency's Future Security Policy Bureau to implement Data analysis human resources training course, was held on April 22 (Monday) at Kookmin University's Business Administration Building.

The course, which is being held for the second time since last year, will be held at Kookmin University for two months until June 21, with the goal of fostering excellent human resources with the ability to collect, analyze, and utilize security-related data. A total of 20 outstanding talents, selected through pre-assessment and plan screening from among those recommended by each bureau and office of the National Police Agency, will receive a total of 120 hours of theoretical and practical training and mentorship-based projects led by faculty members specializing in data analysis.

The ceremony was attended by KU faculty members, including President Choi Byung Gu, and officials from the National Police Agency's Future Security Policy Bureau. "The role of data analysis is very important in the big goal of scientific policing, and we welcome the trainees to participate in this training," said Choi Byung Gu, Dean of Kookmin University Graduate School of Business. "We will generously support the excellent faculty, curriculum, and educational environment of the AI Big Data Major to conduct successful training, and we hope that the results of this training will lead to practical results that will lead to the development of scientific policing in Korea."

The "24th National Police Agency Data Analysis Workforce Development Course" consists of two weeks of intensive training on the core competencies of data analysis personnel, from internal and external data collection to processing and visualization, and artificial intelligence technologies such as machine learning and deep learning, and six weeks of in-depth training on projects that use data to solve problems in real police work.
