Eunpyeong Startup Center Increased Employment of Tenants by 19.5 Billion KRW Last Year - Investment Results

Kookmin University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Center announced the 2023 tenant performance of "20 companies supported, 28 people employed, and KRW 1.95 billion in government support and investment attracted" at the Bukhansan Valley of the Eunpyeong Startup Support Center, which is entrusted by Eunpyeong-gu, through the third networking event of 2024.
The Eunpyeong Startup Support Center opened on January 2, 2023, with a completion ceremony on December 29, 2022, with the aim of revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs by creating a 'self-sufficient city where you want to stay' in Eunpyeong-gu.
Since March 1, 2023, when 11 tenant companies were selected and the fostering of startup companies began in earnest, the center has provided startup-related education to 231 founders and residents, 62 mentoring sessions, participation in 97 investor relations events, and commercialization support to 36 companies.
Through this support for startup companies, the center has supported a total of 20 companies, generated sales of 1.4 billion won, employed 28 people, attracted investment of 350 million won and government support of 1.6 billion won in a short period of time.
Lee Dong-yong, director of the Eunpyeong-gu Office of Finance and Economy, who attended the event to encourage the center's tenants, said, "I am very surprised by the achievements of the tenants of the Eunpyeong Startup Support Center over the past year, and we, Eunpyeong-gu, will continue to actively support them by utilizing the local infrastructure in Eunpyeong-gu for their growth."
