The selected undergraduates will acquire field experience through an internship at LG Electronics during the semester vacation and receive a small sum from their industry-academic scholarship each semester until they finish the graduate school program.
“It is very meaningful to operate a new recruitment contract track for LG Electronics to foster future automotive talented individuals with Kookmin University,” said Executive Director

“Since the establishment of the Department of Automotive Engineering first in the history of Korean universities in 1992, KMU has been responding to the abrupt changes in the trend of technological movements by putting effort into newly establishing the Department of Automotive IT Convergence in 2014 and always has been the epitome of success in specializing the automotive section,” said President Yim. “We are
delighted to newly operate a mutual recruitment contract track
with LG Electronics today, and we hope that the two organizations will put effort into the development of Korea’s automobile
industry together.
