“Stay Strong” Campaign
- 20.11.26 / 김해선
Kookmin University President Hong-jae Yim delivered a powerful message on Wednesday, October 28 by participating in the "stay strong" campaign, which aims to help overcome the COVID-19 crisis. The event was held at the main campus of Kookmin University, with foreign students from the university also participating.
“Stay Strong” is a campaign that aims to support people in overcoming the effects of the COVID-19 crisis by having participants post a photo with a sign containing a hopeful message on social media and pass the message on to the next participant. It is a relay public service campaign launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in early March. It was designed to share the message that all of us should manage our own health and get through this situation.
Participation is done by posting an image of their two hands joined together, painted with soap bubbles as well as a message of support such as the phrase "Let’s overcome COVID-19" on social media. Then, the participants call their friends to also participate in the campaign.
Chang-won Lee, the president of Hansung University, participated in the Stay Strong campaign before, and asked Hong-jae Yim, the president of Kookmin University, to participate in the campaign. President Yim said, "I hope that everyone can manage their health well and that we will overcome the COVID-19." He added, "I thank the medical staff who have been fighting against the Coronavirus for a long time in the field."
